Trigger warnings: violence, racism, genocide of First Nations peoples mentioned, colonialism, cultural appropriation.

I've been meaning to read this book since it came out, and I'm glad I finally did. Despite its short length, it's not always an easy book to read because it's a very...philosophical?...look at how First Nations thinking can be applied to modern life. A lot of it is challenging as it goes against everything we've been taught to believe about society and economics and the world in general. There were parts of it that hurt my brain to try and wrap my mind around and I probably shouldn't have been reading it at like 1am every night. But here we are.

I did very much appreciate that he consistently spoke to other First Nations people throughout the course of the book, whether they were from elsewhere in Australia or overseas as it made it more of a First Nations Thinking as a whole rather than "my specific brand of First Nations Thinking" story.
