I’m going to be so devastated when this series is over.  This is such a comfort read.  The characters growing up, planning their futures, and figuring out what they want in life.

It’s so cute and heartwarming.  I loved seeing Charlie becoming more comfortable with his body and gaining his confidence back.  I loved seeing Nick start to figure out who he is when he’s not with Charlie, talking to his other friends while on the uni road trip.

The fifth volume of Heartstopper begins a welcome transition for the series towards an older audience. Charlie and Nick are now getting older and Nick has to decide whether his interest in going to university is worth leaving Charlie for months at a time. At the same time, they are beginning to start the foray into sex, but are seeking help in navigating this new stage of their relationship. The book very deliberately pokes fun at the abstinence-based education that is so common in the British school system, and at the same time places an emphasis on the healthy and informed development of sexual relationships. I was delighted to see references to Solitaire in this book, as that novel supposedly takes place at this time. Excited for the sixth instalment!

I really appreciate all the stories shared throughout this series. Alice shows the ups and downs, the messiness of everyone’s lives. No one has it all easy- everyone is struggling with something at times.
But she shows that you can change things- you can be happy. You can find people who love you for who you are. Not just a partner- friends too. There is no shortage of love to share. 💕
I’m really happy for this little crew of cuties- it’s going to be bittersweet when the series ends. Thank you Alice Oseman, for all that you do. 💕💕

This is probably the happiest volume of heartstopper out of the 5 so far. This one is so cute and while there are some more serious parts they aren’t super depressing like other volumes. This one had me even more giggly and kicking my feet.
