I wish this one wouldn’t have spent so much time concentrating on sex. I’m glad it wasn’t graphic, but it was just so much of a topic and that surprised me. Also did not enjoy that it can be read in a way that Tori has sex and doesn’t like it and confirms she’s asexual. I wish she could have confirmed it without sex.

It’s been almost two years since I read Heartstopper Volume 4 and this one picks up right where we left off and is still filled with so much tenderness and heart. I really love being able to see both Charlie and Nick grow in their understanding of who they are, and in turn what their relationship means to them in terms of what intimacy and vulnerability can mean. I love how it explores topics like going away for college and communicating with your parents in simple but sincere ways. It makes the entire graphic novel feel so genuine and relatable. I can’t believe the next volume will be the last. Can’t we just keep going on forever and ever?
