I wanted to love this by all the positive reviews I saw but I just couldn't fully give this book my all. It was beautifully written and had a lovely story line it just wasn't my cup of tea. I usually ONLY read mystery/thrillers but wanted to try something different. Don't let this deter you from this book because I'm sure a lot of people will really enjoy this I'm just not one of them.

This may be a book that came into my life at the right time. This is the book I was reading at the end of one year and the beginning of a new year. A time of reflection and introspection. It also came at a time when one of my oldest sons classmates died. It happens that this book starts with the untimely deaths of two young people and then follows the families of these two people. It shows how they handle death and what grief can look like on different people. It also shows how those deaths can affect not just the immediate families but those around. Also, like deaths of people who are 6 reflects on life choices and how life should be lived. A lot of this done through the telling of fairy tales and the lessons that can be learned from them. This book gave me a lot to think about and ponder in a way that was magical.

What a beautiful , magical story! I loved Harry and his big beautiful broken heart! And the way he loved Oriana from the moment he met her! The characters were so well written and had so much depth & growth, you were just rooting for them all from the librarian right down to Wolf! Definitely keeping this one on my shelf!
