Fun Flash Fiction

I love short stories but have never really read "flash fiction" until now. The handful of stories in the book are good, but the mini story snippets really shine. They're prefect length to give you a set up and then let your imagination soar...

I could see a book like this being fun for a Halloween party where you tell short stories. Quick read but I did appreciate most of the stories. I found the formatting of the book a little weird because of the mixture of really short stories of a few lines being mixed in with longer stories.

Thought-Provoking Quick Stories

This collection of flash fiction is well-written. The stories range from humorous to unsettling. Quite a few of them stuck with me, making me mull over them. Well done to the author! I am looking forward to more works.

This is one of those cases where a 5 star system really doesn't work. I would strongly recommend picking up this book (and reading it) because whilst there are some stories that won't work for you, there are plenty that will. Vance has a rare imagination that delivers a range of emotions through the different stories. This was a tasting menu, and some of the stories in the book should be winning awards if there was any justice. I look forward to seeing something longer in the future.

Microfictions and short fiction in the horror genre. The author has a talent for suggesting terror in a very few words.
