This is definitely a romantic read but it was rather sadder than I was hoping for. Still, a good read.

I thought this was going to be a light-hearted Christmas romance with a little poignant holiday sadness. It was not. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t gone into it with preconceived notions.

I struggled to rate this book. It was ok. Dragged a bit in the middle. Characters that I was rooting for. And then the end.

Whhhhy?? I’ve never wanted to throw a book until this one. Whhhhhy do that to Max??? Why can’t Josie have a happy ending??? So since I clearly have such an emotional reaction it means that the writer has hooked me in and done a good job. So that boosted my rating up.
