I knew I was going to enjoy this one just by reading the synopsis. I was not disappointed.

If you like a possession story, this one should be on your TBR! I can’t believe there aren’t more people talking about this one!

We get the POV of Mary, who was 8 years old when everything happened with her sister and her parents. It goes back and forth between back then, and present when she’s speaking to someone who wants to write a book about what happened.

There’s also a bit of the influencer writing a blog about the series and what happened as well. It really gives you a little bit of everything in this book.

I thought with it being a possession story, that it would be a bit more creepy, but there weren’t too many moments where I felt that way. I felt horrible that an 8 year old experienced everything she did. She was manipulated by someone she loved the most. The ending actually broke my heart.

I’m upset with myself for taking so long to finally read this book! I definitely recommend this to any horror lovers. The story is messed up in its own way, but it’s not that scary or gruesome in the way I was expecting.
