i skipped half of it, it was just so hard to want to read the dragged out parts before anything happened. this is more of a personal preference but i hate pre established relationships, knowing they are going to have to end/have issues for the main relationship to happen, and pregnancy plots, so this just wasn’t that enjoyable. i skipped most of the pregnancy and the middle chapters and when it finally started to pick up with their relationship at the end it was so goddam cringy. his song titles? what?? the things they said?? idek it was weird. and then it randomly got religious which surprised me. i really did enjoy the first couple chapters but idk not my fav

I'm not in the mood to write a long paragraph. They were making this huge deal out of her leaving so I was expecting the reason to be well a huge deal. It wasn't. She only left because (SPOILER ALERT) she found out her mother, who is known for sleeping around with men or married men in general, was sleeping with Justin's father so she left town due to that.

I have to say this was disappointing. I mean, I was expecting anything but that.

Justin was acting really annoying and rude in the beginning, like It was so childish in a way. I was glad they got around it and became friends. And I'm also glad he didn't cheat, not physically anyways.

Then she got pregnant with her ex Adam's baby and I was not expecting that. I should've cuz I knew there was going to be an unexpected pregnancy. Bea was adorable throughout the book.

RANDOM THOUGHT: One thing I don't understand is why in romance books, the main characters always eventually end up having babies. Like just because you find the love of your life or want babies, it doesn't guarantee it. I don't know. Just a random thought.

Overall, I thought this book was okay. The writing appeared to be okay. Nothing particularly bothered me in general. It was a good read.

It a universally known fact that no fifteen year old ever admits to overestimating him/herself.

“Hmmm...but what did I know about love? I’m only fifteen? I’m so young. Blah blah blah blah”

“She’s so hot I wanna *censor* her *censor* until she screams. ”

Like what?

WHAT KIND OF FAKE TEENAGER IS THIS?

WE WERE ALL GASSED UP LITTLE SHITS WHEN WE WERE YOUNG.

AND NONE OF THE DUDES I KNEW TALKED LIKE LITTLE CHRISTIAN GREYS.

AND ALSO WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYONE TALK IN FUCKING SOLILOQUIES?

AND WHY IS JUSTIN SUCH A PETTY ASSHAT? LIKE YOU WANNA BE ANGRY? GO AHEAD. BUT JUSTIN ACTS LIKE A LITTLE SHUT. THERE IS MORE ANGST IN HIM THAN A PREPUBESCENT TEEN.

Why??

And why is it so cringey?

And why does everything happen at a completely unrealistic phase?

And why are all the characters always psychoanalyzing their actions?

As a reader, I’m allowed to decipher why Justin’s relationship failed.

He, on the other hand, is not allowed to give me a creepily specific psychological explanation to ALL of his mishaps.

That a) makes it no fun for me, and b) is completely un-fucking-realistic.

NO. No. No

I liked the build up of the love story, but I think it had way too many long-winded romantic speeches.

I’ve had this book for about half a year now and was putting it off..after reading it All I feel is shame for not have reading it sooner. It has joined my top reads of this year.

The book was amazing and was an easy read. When I tell you I cried during think book I mean I had continuous tears streaming down my face for a considerable amount of time. It wasn’t even a sad book it just had moments that were really heartfelt and were Goldilocks perfect for the story.

I wasn’t expecting Amelia to get pregnant but when she did I found that I didn’t hate it. I think it went along with the story really well and it didn’t make the book feel like a pregnancy trope. Bea(the baby) 100% added to the story and made it infinitely better.

You get to see both Amelia and Justin‘s story develop separately but also together as they’re becoming friends again. They both fit really well together and they don’t feel like the same person with the same stories. They’re very much their own beings who happened to find each other again.

The book was great and I would totally recommend it to anyone who is even remotely interested. I think the cover and title of the book is a bit deceiving, I think it takes away from the fact that this book isn’t just your average smut filled book because it really isn’t. It’s so so much more.

I can't believe how addictive this book was for me. I had to close the book a couple of times--I was not happy. There was this one time I had to stop and it created the worst cliff hanger. Much to my relief the story continued in a way that made feel all warm and fuzzy.
Roomhate is a wonderful second chance romance. Amelia and Justin had been close as teens then Amelia ran. Forced together after the reading of Nana's will things got hot and explosive.
I loved how the author built up the suspense. Lessons had to be learned. Mistakes had to be made. Feelings needed to be realized. Something old and something new aren't just fore weddings but for second chances.
Roomhate made me feed giddy. I liked how things in the story progressed. I liked how the characters had to work for what the wanted. And best of all I loved the last few chapters. They are the definition of love.
