This is one of my new favorites of the Great Courses on Audible. Every chapter/lecture was fascinating, even if I was already familiar with the subject matter. I loved how the professor tied it all together and sometimes used literature and other ideas to help to tie things together. Very enjoyable and informative and just fun. *love*

Most of the turning points are somewhat obvious, which is to be expected, but Professor Liulevicius does a great job of elaborating on the impact each of these turning points had on the world around it, and drawing throughlines in the historical narrative between the points. Good course, but nothing earth-shattering.
