I just recently re-read this. It made me cry the first time, as I reflected on some of my own relationships that felt similar to Audra’s. Even when I couldn’t exactly relate to some of her and Jake’s experiences, their emotions were easy to get. I always judge books (at least the writing) on if I was able to “forget” that I was reading, and I tore through this book in a day both times :)
