Entertaining if extremely sexist.

Seems as though this book was written in a rush. There were many details left out and it seemed to move to resolution unnaturally fast. There were some ancillary characters that could have been fleshed out a bit. Not Roby's best in this series.

I mostly gave this one three stars because I read it before, and couldn’t quite tell if everything was uber-predictable because of that, or just because The Prodigal Son features the same old plot lines we’ve come to expect.

To its credit, the eleventh Reverend Curtis Black novel is the most successful at interspersing narratives of Curtis’ various family members—here, his two sons. I mostly enjoyed the twists and turns, but knew them a bit too well to get much out of this one.

This is another book from the Reverend Curtis Black Series. The pages are filled with more lying, cheating, folks literally losing their minds and lots of shade. I enjoyed the audio version of this book and you will too if you like lots of drama.

I enjoy this series. I liked how the author played the two sons stories against each other. Ready for the next one in this series.
