I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Yes, it takes great liberty with historical accuracy but, for the purpose of the story, it works overall. I loved the development of Catherine as a character. If anything, I felt a bit unsure about some of the sudden romances in the latter part of the book but again, it still worked overall. I’d highly recommend.
