Oh my goodness, I am in LOVE with this series! Katarina is an absolute DELIGHT and I love she constantly bounces between wanting to change her fate and instinctively doing what she wants. It's also amusing watching her worry about changing the romantic routes for the capture targets because she STILL thinks she could end up doomed, even though she effectively accomplished her goal. Going off of that, it's hilarious that she's effectively BECOMING the capture target by inadvertently stealing their moments and now all the girls adore her. This is such a clever way to handle this scenario, especially since Katarina schemes to change the routes, then ends up changing them by accident by virtue of being herself. Also, LOVED seeing her put her villainess persona to good use in this volume!
This volume also eased up on the info dumps (thank GOODNESS) and introduced the heroine, who Katarina immediately becomes friendly with. It's weird that I have to keep reminding myself that this is supposed to be a video game she's in when it doesn't necessarily feel like it, but I'm not complaining. I think it would feel weird if they tried to make it feel more like a game because, at least to me, it would ruin the characters by making them more one-dimensional (as a LOT of dating sims tend to do). On the subject of characters, can I just say that I fucking ADORE Keith so much and how protective he is of Katarina? Also, his design is my favorite out of the boys, just sayin'.
That's about all I have to say, fangirl squeeing aside. I am so thankful I gave this series a shot, I am enjoying it so much more than I thought. I highly recommend other pick this up, it's such a fun series with a unique twist on the isekai formula.

In volume 2 our MC Catarina continues to grow her own dating game harem without realizing it. And now she also adds her most feared enemy to it - Maria - while subconsciously undermining her romantic relationships with the other cast, effectively wooing Maria herself.
Catarina is again our unreliable narrator, but it's easy to see what really happens in the manga. I wonder if the light novel is less easy to interpret...
Anyway. Why 4/5? Because there wasn't much tension in this volume. Everything is smooth sailing and mostly plain fun. I hope volume 3 and this secret route character is going to be more of a threat for Catarina to overcome.
