Welp, I finally made it to super paranormal smut. I'm not mad at it. Super short read, a great break in between my two series that I am currently reading.

Low key thought this was a beauty and the beast retelling. I was wrong. This is about this girl who leaves her abusive husband and hides out in a cabin in the woods.

A Lord of the Forest shadow man guy with antlers sees her. Rest is history.

This was a quick read. Although it was somewhat difficult for me to read because of the domestic violence. While I enjoyed this book I have so many unanswered questions!

Potential Spoilers Ahead...

What about her friend? Does her friend ever find out what happened to Sophie? Or does Sophie just disappear from the mortal world?

And what happens when the police come looking for Sophie's ex? Because the spouse (or almost-ex-spouse) is always a suspect! The townspeople he spoke with know he was looking for her, so there are witnesses...

Ugh! I hate unanswered questions!

I love books with an antlered main man. It's my weakness. I had my eye on the next book in the series but saw this cover and decided to give it a shot before the much longer other book. The story was predictable and a bit bland at times but still good. It was a super quick read for me but not something I'd consider re-reading.

 Finally picked this up

And I wasn't disappointed. Tiffany has a way of drawing you in early. And I was pulled into this story with the first page. Experiencing Cruce and Sophie's story was thrilling. I'm excited to dive into the next book.

This novel was short and sweet. A hot, slightly immortal shadow man lurking outside your cabin windows while you have wet dreams about said shadow man? Sign me tf up. A nice fluff read!
