A suspenseful albeit far-fetched psychological thriller, with an intriguing beginning, but confusing and disappointing ending.
When Alice is invited by Karen, her former classmate, to spend some time together in a cottage in Scotland, she accepts without hesitation.
But as soon as she arrives, she realizes that all is not as it seems and the friend she once knew and looked up to, is a changed person.

Great read
I have never read anything from this author before so wasn't sure what to expect, have to say I really enjoyed No Longer Safe, a great storyline.

The book turned out to be very good in the end. The plot was interested. It moved a bit slow at times.

My favourite book ever! I read this on kindle & bought the book in paperback so I can keep forever! I've recommended to all my friends & to anyone who asks for a good book to read! The best twist I've ever read in a book! I wish I could turn back time & read it all over again!

Wow, how am I supposed to go to sleep now?
I must admit, for most of the book I had conflicting opinions about certain aspects of the book. I just didn't feel that some of the reactions and interactions from Alice were in character, not only for her, but for anyone. I understood how they were pivotal for the storyline, they just didn't seem convincing enough.
The closing chapters however completely removed any memory of these opinions and completely through me for a loop. Absolutely great finish.
One quote that I absolutely loved;
"The atmosphere was that of a dentists' waiting room with the aura of past pain, current pain, and the anticipation of further pain filling every molecule of air"

This book is the most mediocre book I've read in a while. It wasn't good but it definitely wasn't bad. The plot was a bit boring and predictable. There were a few interesting twists but overall nothing thrilling. Alice as a character was a bit pathetic and a massive suck up which made me dislike her. She was pretty annoying. If you want something quick to read / listen to it won't be a waste of your time, it just isn't the most exciting, compelling read ever *shrugs*

I didn’t see the ending coming. It ended with a great twist.

Loved it at first. The last couple of chapters were rushed and messy. Could have been really great :/
