This book was not at all what I expected. It was chaotic in a very delightful way but also a little confusing at times. 
Sophie had the strangest reactions to everything that happened to her. She's always so weirdly calm which was slightly off-putting. Her relationship with Howl, Calcifer, and Micheal was fun to read about and see it develop.
The 'romantic' ending between her and Howl came out of absolutely nowhere though lol

I loved it! I have loved the movie since it came out, but had never read the book. While they’re both a good bit different, I throughly enjoyed each of them. What a lovely story! Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series!
