I had really high expectations about what I would learn, as the mixture between neuroscience and physics fascinates me. But I found relatively little more than what I already knew. It did make a lot of interesting points, my favorite being the question: Does how we understand time tells us more about the nature of time or of our own brains themselves?

It has a lot of information, trying to explain time, and how the brain understand it requires to tackle different subjects: neuroscience, physics, biology, philosophy, psychology... If you are looking for answers this is not for you. If you are looking for knowledge and to learn new things, this is the right book.

This is a more holistic view of time, covering the history of timekeeping, the neuroscience and psychology of time, the biology of timekeeping, as well as the physics of time. This broad overview brings the various strands together. Well written and enjoyable.
