Great

This was the second in the series but felt more like the first. It is happening before and during Gabbys story which is kind of confusing. I love these so far and cannot wait to see where the story goes and how the girls will all work together.
If by love dates mates and compelling interwoven but independent stories I highly suggest this series!

So I started the series wrong. I read clays version first and really didn't like it. Then I discovered they were the same series from different perspectives so I switched and read this one. Im really glad I did. I loves the main characters, especially Emmitt. It was well written with good drama and growth of the characters. I dont quite understand why this was book 2 instead of book 1 as it makes a lot of things from book 1 make more sense.
I hope to see more or Michelle and Emmitt, i liked them way better then Gabby.

After reading Hope(less) a couple of months ago, I was really excited to see where this series went. I knew this book would be about someone else, but I was too intrigued by this world to not continue. I'm definitely glad I stuck with the series, because this sequel was just as good as it's predecessor.

Michelle was a great heroine. I felt really sorry for her because she was deprived of so many small things that are taken for granted, but I also thought she was really smart and responsible. As a teen, she had to do the best she could to take care of her brothers, and her love for them was really evident. It was the deciding factor in every decision she made. I never really got annoyed with her, even when she wasn't so trustful of Emmitt, since her life had been such a mess beforehand.

Speaking of Emmitt, I thought he was perfect for Michelle. Where in Hope(less) I loved Clay because he let his actions speak for him, I loved Emmitt because he said the right things to Michelle. I loved how he told her what she wanted to know, and that he didn't want to lie to her. I thought that he was such a good balance for Michelle, because he taught her how to do more than just worry, and she definitely needed that.

The side characters in this story were great, as well. I loved Jim, and thought his teasing and humorous ways were wonderful. I also loved Nana, because not only was she a great grandmotherly-like figure, but she was also strong and kind. I loved Michelle's brothers, as well. I was the most sad for them, because Michelle was all they knew as a parent, and they'd been locked up in their house for pretty much their whole lives.

Speaking of which, the plot was really interesting. It involved Michelle escaping from her captor Blake, with her brothers. Upon escaping, she met Emmitt, and things took off from there. I loved watching Emmitt and Michelle grow closer. I thought it was such a wonderfully developed story. I appreciated that Michelle's issues with trust weren't immediately swept away upon her meeting with Emmitt, and I loved how things progressed in general.

Overall, this was a very worthy sequel to Hope(less). While this is a standalone, it's in the same world. It expanded upon the world-building begun in the first novel, and after the ending of this book, I can't wait to see what happens next.

OK, so after reading Hope(less), I went straight to this - next on the series and felt bit disappointed because I was expecting Luke's story but at the end I understood the reference.
Spoiler So, if you are looking for Luke's story this is not the correct one!

Compared to Hope(less) I found it lengthy, I though once we got the basics from 1st book, this will move shiftly but no. Also, I don't like Michelle hiding the fact who she is running from, from Emmitt and Nana. At the beach scene I though Michelle is going to spill the beans and get it over with but no! So, it felt unnecessarily lengthy and like chewing gum I lost flavour but I adjusted .... Sigh

Will I continue reading the series? Yes, I am still curious.....:)

Loved it. This one takes you on a very highly emotional rollercoaster and is impossible to put down. It has been a long time since I found a series this good and am gobbling it up.

I didn't like how the main character acted throughout the story.

Another great installment to the Judgement of the Six (Although I think I liked the first one better). It took me a little while to get into this one. I thought we would be picking up the story where we left the previous one, but we actually went back in time. I was expecting Luke to be the hero, so when Emmitt showed up I was like, wait that's not right. But ya can't help but love him!

Overall, great story. I am excited to see what comes next and how everything ties together. The mystery of who the girls are and the curse Blake was talking about, definitely made things more interesting. Hopefully we will get to see more of the characters we had in the first and second books.
