I love the mythos of Innsmouth, but this story could definitely have just been a short story rather than a novella - I felt like Zadok Allen was talking for about 10 hours.

Pretty decent read. It really plays on fears of immigration as well as bodily/mental degradation. Better in the second half than in the first since the first half is a lot of architectural descriptions. The second half has a great escape scene and a nicely done post-encounter chapter with a great twist.

İlk kez H.P. Lovecraft okuyorum.

Very interesting, disturbingly vivid.
