Hilarious, insightful, educational, and infuriating all at once. Definitely worth a listen

An amusing feminist audio-book, talking about the role of women in different aspects of society through the ages. It shares some pretty curious facts and poses thought-provoking questions.

Not all of the jokes hit, but if you want to be simultaneously nauseated and invigorated, this is great! Seriously, so much BS in the fight for women’s equality, and still lots to do!

Like listening to a podcast. Good rapport.

The comedy that the two authors/narrators brought to this topic was vital. Laughing kept me from crying about all the depressing shit

This written-for-audio book has a heavy podcast vibe, if you're into that kind of thing.

The material presented is mined for laughs, but there are some interesting historical tidbits here. You don't hear Nefertiti or Hatshepsut mentioned much these days, especially in comedy.

Mostly it left me a little despondent, since even as old indignities are abolished, people are still thinking of new ones every day, and working hard to codify them into law.
