I don’t think this is quite pacy enough to be considered a thriller. An interesting if implausible premise though with some good twists. Really love how feminist this book feels with complex female characters put in difficult situations.

The ending gave me goosebumps.

This book follows two women of very different backgrounds who find themselves running for their lives and colliding in a "chance" meeting. The plan is to simply switch places... that is, until the plane Claire was supposed to be on crashes.

TW: domestic violence, domestic abuse

This follows Claire, who is running from her rich and powerful but abusive husband, and Eva, who has found herself in trouble after being kicked out of college.

This book follows an interesting timeline, primarily following Claire in real-time and Eva in her time leading up to the plane crash. This allows the reader to follow Eva's choices leading up to the swap, and how Claire deals with this incredible pivot in her life.

This book is incredibly plot-driven with a slew of rich character development. This book definitely included some twists, but was a fairly straight-forward plot. I saw a couple surprises along the way, and a very bittersweet ending. It was an emotional roller-coaster but I loved every second.

This book started strong for me but really ended without much UMPH (for lack of a better word).  The prose-pretty ordinary which is ok, but that is where everything just stalled for me. Where is the meaningful riveting dialogue, the laugh out loud moments amid the serious nature of the book, the lively conversation between characters??? 2.5 stars as the premise was interesting and I did finish it but I wasn't satisfied with it.

Hmm… I am not sure how to feel about this book. The writing was very enjoyable and easy to read through but there wasn’t much happening for some of the book. I think it had so much more potential for a denser and more intriguing plot but it wasn’t bad either way. I’m glad at least one of them truly made it in the end.
