Original rating: 4⭐️
After rereading: 5⭐️ This book was so emotional and deep seeing Celaena work through her grief and turmoil. There are so many new characters we meet that I come to love too. Abraxos is absolutely adorable. I lived for the scenes with him. This kept me captivated and entertained the whole time. Beautiful storytelling.

my second favorite book of the series.
i loved basically everything about Heir of Fire, Celaena’s journey and development, Chaol’s inner struggle about where his loyalties actually lie, amazing new introduced characters and especially more magic content!!

i very much disliked everything surrounding Dorian and Sorsha, their POV chapters were so boring and absolutely pointless, she especially was such a dull and uninteresting character,
Spoiler the only time i was interested in a scene with her in it was when she died.

I loved this installment in the ToG series! I would say this was where I really started appreciating the characters and their struggles, as well as an introduction to the ominous enemies and their dark plots looming over the characters heads. This book mostly focuses on Celaena
Spoiler aka Aelin
Spoiler and her journey to accept herself and those around her, especially Rowan. There was a lot of plot unpacking in this book, but Sarah J Maas revealed the necessary details with perfection and paired it with sly and witty humor when there was very much a need for comedic relief!
