doing research for my Chinese supernatural literature graduate course's final paper and this was not only incredibly helpful for my research but a PLEASURE to read. This is one of my favorite shows of all time and just being able to understand the behind the scenes work that went into something I love so dearly, it was awesome.

Absolutely stunning artwork, and nice insight into the work that went into creating the TV series. I only wish they had gone more in depth on their creative/writing process.

Such a well-structured, well-written and overall really nice art book! I've always loved atla so getting to see the design and thought process behind everything was so informative! I really liked the fact that they went through the entire chronology of the show and told little vignettes about the different things, it helped de-mystify the whole production process and also just made me appreciate the amount of work put into this show so much more. It's clear from watching the show that everyone who worked on it gave it their all and this art book really drives that point home - the amount of thought and research and care that went into making even the smallest props or most minor of background characters is really admirable.

Fascinating look at the story behind the creation of the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" series. A must-have for a fan of the series, the artwork is gorgeous and reading about the process involved in creating the show really makes you appreciate it's perfection.
