It was a quite entertaining book, with a very interesting concept. Paragraphs jump from character to character wich gives some rhythm to the story, even though, I found some parts to be too slow paced.

This was a really good novel. One of my favourites I've read this year, definitely. I liked the quirky concept, I liked the characters and I liked the fairly short chapters. It kept me guessing throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It was a pretty easy read and even though its almost 400 pages long, there's a blank page next to the start of pretty much every chapter, so it isn't quite as long as it may first seem. I found it to be a fairly easy read overall, though it did still take me 5 days to read it through to the end (spending no more than a couple of hours or so a day reading).

I was pretty disappointed with Ahern's latest work. I enjoyed P.S. I love you and Love, Rosie so much that I broke down and bought this book from a Europe Ebayer as it was not yet available in the US.

Strays too much from her prior 2 successful works. Had I not went to such extremes to purchase it, I would not have finished reading it.

There's No Place Like Here is a quick read, but I was impressed with the premise and general writing style. A decent work of popular fiction.

Interesting story. A bit boring at some parts. Ending was a bit underwhelming.

I've never read any of her works before, so I can't compare it to anything else, and can truly say I've never read anything like it before. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I really got into it as I kept reading. I really was interested in how the author would bring it all full circle. She did a credible job, without letting the reader down.

Searching for missing persons and winding up a missing person. It's an interesting idea ~ when you need answers that aren't there, how do you find them?

(Maybe spoiler-ish?)

Even at the end of the story, I'm not entirely sure if Here is real or not, but the book kind of makes you wish it were. An Oz full of lost people, waiting for someone with the ruby slippers.
