I adored this book and I felt like Cassandra Clare had me feeling all the right things at the right time with minimal words. The ability to do that takes a great author.

One of my favourite parts of this book and all the others I’m sure is the humour underlining the storyline. Haves cocky sarcastic wit has me LOLing every time. Magnus’ indifferent attitude about everything was spot on.

Overall this book did well not to get stuck in that middle book ‘nothing really happens’ stigma. I only say this because I know it was originally only meant to be a trilogy.

Not my favourite book, but still very much enjoyed and cherished.

I’ve been all things shadowhunters lately and I couldn’t ask for a better book to take to work with me and read whenever possible. Would defiantly recommend.

Slow at the beginning, but it picked up towards the end leaving you wanting more.

I just re read this book for the fifth time in a row! The author keeps you up all night in suspense, pulling you in just at the moment when you were falling asleep. This is a must read for any fantasy lover!

I definitely enjoyed it, though the writing doesn't feel all that strong in certain areas, and good god some of the characters are dense. Regardless, it's action packed, funny in places, easy to read, and I shall be picking up book 3 soon!
