I really liked this book until I found out that there was actually an author for this book. That's so disrespectful to first of all LIE about literally every thing in the book and secondly fabricate this stupid story to manipulate teenagers into not doing drugs. There's other ways to do that. I feel betrayed and very angry. How dare you, you LIEDDDDD. No longer worth the read.

Go Ask Alice was a quick read. (Less than 2 hours last night) that dives into the reality of drug addiction in teenagers. We see through diary entries how a young teen spirals into addiction just because she used drugs one time at a party. It’s an authentic and moving portrayal of addiction that shows the dangers of some drugs. It’s a depressing but easy to follow because of the faith entry format. I highly recommend it to all young adults.

I read this for all the "wrong" reasons as a middle-schooler. Can't say it didn't satisfy though.

I would recommend going in to this book as I did, because then you can figure out all on your own that it is clearly not a true story.

The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is that I think the book is about something important and I did get something out of it.

The thing that probably annoyed me the most is that you can tell it's an adult trying to write as a teen, and it's not working. It kinda brought me out of the story sometimes, because it didn't seem like a teen at all. But it is a quick read, so I guess it got that going for it.

This is a cult book so wanted to read it but I don't know why it was so popular. TLDR, a girl goes to a party, gets slipped LSD in a coke, goes on a bender for like a year, finds God and then eats LSD laced peanuts and claws her own face off, then is ok again until she then dies for no fricking reason.
