I went into this pretty cold, so it was a shock to come into this world I had almost no context for. (Also I kind of hate some of the 616 versions of the "heroes" so double hurdle there.) By the end I felt pretty invested in this version of the characters and interested to read more.

Also, shock of shocks, I'm super into Donald Pierce???

Surprisingly decent world-building here. Interesting characters made me want to find out more about them. The story, overall, is as you would expect--pretty good and pulls no punches.
