This is one of the best books I've read. It was so interesting and despite the few "ick" moments I had, it was such a worthwhile read. I have a renewed appreciation for how complex and amazing the world is!

One of my favorite books of the year! This book brings such varied perspectives to  what it means to host ecosystems, and I found the chapter on the hygiene hypothesis particularly interesting.
