This was initially boring to me and the tropes here felt tired (nature vs nurture, unreliable narrator, etc.) I had a physical copy I flipped through and found it disturbing…yet predictable based on what I’d read.

I really wanted to keep reading once I finished it was so easy to read and fall into the lives of the characters. Was very intense in moments and reminded me a lot of other stories I’ve read such as Baby Teeth, or story telling similar to Gillian Flynn’s books.

See full review on goodreads. All of these books have the same plot, it’s irritating

Struggling with how to rate this. It’s SO good but it’s also so complex and deep that it almost feels wrong to rate it so highly. One of the best books I’ve read at conveying complex feelings. I couldn’t help but take on the hurt of the main character.

A very interesting storyline. At the beginning I personally had to get into the you perspective, because I‘m not used to it. The ending was a bit sudden… and I‘m still asking myself a lot of questions

Wow, this was dark, painful, and tense. The different feelings in motherhood and the struggles that are faced. This book was a quick read, and the flashbacks really had my attention. About 50% through the book, I started to hate where things were going. However, I was really satisfied with the ending. A very complex look at sanity, raising a child, and marriage.
