I love a great mother daughter cooking duo! However, I didn't see much of the daughter cooking past the intro. I like that they have a key to figure out which recipes are right for each occasion; crowd pleaser, family fave, one-pot meal, quick fix, vegetarian and weeknight or weekend. They even include a list of recipes that travel well.

You can tell biscuits are her business! There's a large biscuit section and I can't wait to try these recipes. Then, the recipes break down into Spring,
Summer, Fall and Winter. The Summer and Fall recipes Intrigued me the most. I did wish that there were more food pictures since several of the recipes had no pictures. Overall, there's a handful of recipes I'd like to try.

Hot Little Suppers has a combination of recipes, some that I definitely want to try and others that would never fit in my family meal plan. The biscuit recipes sound good and there were a few desserts and dinner recipes I want to try. The layout and pictures a good and overall I enjoyed looking through this cookbook.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this cookbook!

Yes, this has a fantastic biscuit recipe, which one would expect from the owner of Hot Little Biscuits, but there is so much more here. There is an array of recipes from lunches and dinners to drinks and desserts, and lots of kitchen tips as well. The only improvement I can suggest is that this cookbook needs more pictures.

Great cookbook jammed with tips and tricks for everything from cooking outdoors to how to spark a conversation with your teens. Loved how it was organized by season and that there's an extra bonus section just for biscuits and fun new things you can make with all the biscuit scraps.

Thank you to Harper Horizon and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this cookbook. My review is voluntary and all opinions are my own.

This is my second cookbook by this author, and it’s a gorgeous cookbook. Love the cover and title but honestly love how family oriented this cookbook is.

What did I like? I was a bit surprised this time at the wide variety of foods. From southern, to Mexican, Mediterranean, and even Asian style foods. This book does not seem to stick with a particular flavor and instead gives you a wide variety. I enjoyed the variety and bookmarked a few to try. I think I enjoyed the leftover biscuit recipes best!

Would I recommend or buy? I enjoyed the cookbook and I can’t wait to try the buttermilk biscuits with the cinnamon butter. I will definitely check out Callie’s biscuits when I am in Charleston next! Five stars for a great cookbook!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left a review!

Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this was a good cookbook. I liked the set up and how the cookbook was told. I like how in the beginning we learn about what Carrie Morey keeps in her pantry and advice on what to get at the store and store at all times and what equipment to own. I enjoyed looking at the photos and recipes. I even jotted down a few so I can give them a try sometime.

Southern cooking but make it expensive. This book screams Charleston which is good because that's where the author is from. There's a really good mix of Southern staples and international delights in these pages and the food manages to be both accessible and aspirational.

This was a fine cookbook, but not one I will return to often. It’s heavy on the biscuits and very much an advertisement for the authors restaurant. The pictures are lovely and the layout is beautiful. However, not many recipes I would be interested in personally.

Well written and organized cookbook (I love that it was organized according to season). I’m allergic to dairy so I wasn’t able to partake of a lot of these recipes but the ones I did try, I really liked. My family, however, was under no such restriction and tried a couple more recipes and enjoyed all the recipes they tried. I like that it makes cooking a family affair - my husband and I taught our teens to cook and bake a few years ago and they have both turned into excellent home chefs. An enjoyable, homey cookbook.

My thanks to Harper Horizon and NetGalley for the eARC. Opinions shared are influenced by nothing other than my reading experience.
