I was so happy to finally have Tate’s story and Leighton did a great job with it! Let me just say, Chapter 1 immediately sucked me in and I did not want to put it down.

Tate
In high school, he was the good looking, popular football player. He is now a personal trainer, who’s ready to make a change in his home life. He’s tired of running through women and it ready to start looking for the one. The problem has been that he’s still kind of hung up on one girl, who happens to be his really good friend and is now married with a child.

Tate arrives at the reunion with all intentions of reconnecting with his high school ex, Sophia. That all changed when his eyes spot Stella.

Stella
In high school, she was the shy quiet girl, who never really talked to or got to know anyone. Part of that may because she always seemed to be in the shadow of her popular twin sister, Sophia.

During the reunion, a horrible tragedy occurs that will deeply affect all involved. In the days following the tragedy, as Tate and Stella try to put their lives back together, they begin to grow close to each other and form a relationship. Unfortunately, there is someone in the background who doesn’t like this and will do anything to destroy them.

I have read all of Leighton’s books and it’s been so awesome to watch her writing grow with each book. The storyline was great. The characters were well developed and I loved the part when we found out how the tragedy occurred. I did not see that coming. I definitely recommend this one, as well as, Sinfully and Regretfully. They can all be read as standalones.
