While this book was fantastic, I don’t think I’d classify it as horror. The tiniest ghostly aspect MAY qualify as paranormal but it felt more like a thriller. I enjoyed how the MC spoke to his wife throughout like she was still alive. The authors note really made it all come together and explained why he branched out slightly from his usual style of book. The ending was sad and happy at the same time.

Read this one in a day. It was the perfect mix of thriller, mystery, and horror with a splash of paranormal. It was so well written, poetic almost, albeit dark.
