Gotta say, I had to DNF it. The writing is good, but the plot is dragging too much. I cannot find it in me to continue reading it even if I have only around 20% of the book left to read.
I was really interested in knowing how this retelling was going to turn out like, but then I remembered how much I don’t really like Peter Pan (sorry, I guess).
I am, however, very much interested in reading book two! M/M with Hook?? Yes, thank you.

Gina, you have done it again!
This was a rec that came from the queen herself! And I devoured it! took me less than 24 hours to finish. This Peter Pan retelling is one like no other. I felt great while I was reading this book. It is such a fluffy & sexy read that I couldn't put it down. It is also great to see the characters that we all love and share from a different viewpoint. I absolutely loved the third-act break-up because I did not see the reasoning behind it coming. I need Hook and John's story asap! The storyline of this retelling feels diffrent, but I realize it would be a real-life story. Which makes this book even more a must-read. I just feel happy and excited about this. I am having a very hard time putting my feelings into words. <3

I loved this story! It was incredibly clever and smartly done, all while being extremely entertaining and fun. The author took something familiar and made it fresh, new, and exciting to read! Wonderful start to a new series!

I loved Wendy and Peter. He was charm and sexiness and she was a bit buttoned up but putting herself out there. I loved watching her character really open up. I loved their story and history. From the time they were kids to now and how their friendship and love grew. I smiled and was giddy and might have had to fan myself a time or two. They had a wonderful building love story that I couldn't get enough of. Emotion and drama and fun, I loved it all!

Pan was a well thought out and detailed story with a great flow. I loved how the timeline was presented and that it was dual POV, so you got to really know the characters. There were so many great parallels between the past and present and there was an awesome build happening between the two. All the characters, places, and references were fantastic. I loved all the fairy tale tie-ins, they were seamlessly woven in at the perfect times. I'd get excited while reading when I'd see a reference to the original story and how the author used it in this modern-day tale.

There is a wonderful cast of characters with familiar names and it was fun seeing all the different connections. There are Tink and Hook and everyone I love. The Lost Boys had distinct personalities that were intriguing. Learning about them, especially Hook, was eye-opening. I felt so much underlying emotion when learning about him, it was like I was holding my breath. Hook's such a compelling character and I can't wait for his story.

This story was just so well thought out. It was funny and flirty but also sexy and raw and filled with emotion. This had it all!

What a unique retelling of Peter Pan! I loved every minute of this book.

Elements of the classic fairy tale (and a little Romeo & Juliet/wrong side of the tracks) are seamlessly woven into this modern day romance.

Peter Pan is fostering at the Lost Boys school run by the shady Croc and his wife who use the kids as their personal indentured servants. Peter returns to the house with the open balcony night after night to hear the story of princesses and princes, when one night he sees the girl that will change his life - Wendy.

Their story is told in the present day as adults and in flashbacks of when they were kids getting to know each other and experiencing young love.

Pan is all grown up, but doesn't want to live to work. He believes in working to live and throwing weekly over the top parties because what's life without a heavy dose of fun?! Wendy has returned after leaving for college and staying away for almost a decade.

I enjoyed Peter and Wendy getting to know each other as adults and the dynamic between the Lost Boys and Tink.

One character intrigued me the most - Hook! He definitely gives off the dark and broody vibe and his secrets and inner demons will be explored more in the next Neverland novel. I really can't wait to read more from this series. Bravo Gina Maxwell!

"For those who still believe in magic, despite living in a contemporary-and-often disheartening-world.
Never stop believing, never stop reaching for the stars."

A Peter Pan retelling with a twist!
A contemporary modern life style Peter Pan retelling with a second chance romance and some spicy moments as well, an intriguing combination and enchanting in an entirely different way.

The story is well written and well paced which has dual timeline- the past and present timeline with mainly dual POV from Wendy and Peter.
I love the idea of the Lost Boys, the pirate crew and the Darling family living in the same modern world as we are.

The characters are pretty well developed, I really love reading about them in the past timeline when they were just teenagers falling in love for the first time.
The present timeline is also enjoyable with the second chance romance. Their attraction rekindle very fast, it's very fortunate that there's a past timeline that shows how their relationship grows so it didn't feel like an insta-love situation.

Overall, this is the perfect read for people who enjoy reading a quick and simple contemporary romance with a little bit of magic in it.
It's enjoyable, entertaining and I have a good time seeing another version of Peter Pan story.
Definitely looking forward to read the next book about Hook and other books from Gina!

I loved this from the very start, although it’s a very modern twist on the story we all know and love I wasn’t sure how it was going to work, but needn’t have worried, you feel like you’re transported to Neverland. Gina Maxwell is a genius, it worked so well and I couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with the characters
