Things got pretty serious in this one! Kalagan is really starting to infiltrate the town and is tearing the misfits apart.

My daughter says this one is the best one so far, and she loved the darling Daniel dolls appearing all over the town.

I thought Theo was the sweetest bit, and I adored his story, although I really wish his family was more accepting of him, I feel like that part of the story was never really resolved.

I'm excited for the finale, and I really hope we go out on a big bang.

I read this with my daughter (9 yrs old). We liked the story, it had nice character development of Theo. The twists were surprising and entertaining. However, by comparison to the other 2 books, this one isn't our favorite. That being said, we can't wait to read #4!

This Magic Misfits book started out a little rough for me - it seemed very repetitive from the first two. Also one of the major plot points was in-fighting among friends/miscommunication/pettiness which like, ugh. I did have to remind myself that maybe a middle schooler - the intended audience - would have responded better to that. But I was pleasantly surprised when the book took some turns near the end and my attention was once again captivated.

One of my son's favourite series, he's read them (and listened to the audiobooks) sooooo many times!
