Sexy, fun interesting adventure about a detective firm that recovers stolen rare manuscripts.

This was initially very interesting and fun but quickly started to drag. I never really got the chemistry between the love interests and had a hard time caring about the villain. Will not be continuing the series.

Spice: 2/5 - on page, repeated and explicit

Audiobook narration: 5/5

Very cute story. I've got a little bit of a crush on Henry, the hot librarian, and his nerdy charisma. He is a reminder to not judge a book by its cover.

The story started slow for me and I was thinking there would be resolution in regards to a certain bad guy but now knowing that there will be more books in this series then it makes sense it wasn't resolved. I loved the building up in the relationship.

Henry and Delilah were so good together. fake dating done right. The fl was strong and wonderful and Henry was wonderful too. A black man and a professor of archaeology. I loved it!

Not a bad read... It took me a fair while to get into this book, im not sure if it was just me, if it was too much of a slow burn compared to recently read books. HOWEVER, once we got to the good stuff i got so into it! i don’t think Henry would be the guy for me but i can totally see his charm and how he was a great character in this book but he did seem at times quite robotic in speech but again maybe a totally different reading style than im used to. id say for anyone to give it a chance and after seeing a preview of Freya and Sam im excited to dive into the next book!

It was a good read but it didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, it fell a little flat and I'm not going to finish the series.

5 swoony fantastic stars.

What an amazing first dive into Romantic Suspense for Kathryn Nolan!! Delilah is a seasoned pro at investigating while this is Henry's first case. They are undercover as a married couple while searching for a rare book that has gone missing. Being fake married should be hard, right? Maybe for certain people. But not Henry and Delilah! Their chemistry is amazing from the beginning. The slow burn leading up to classic Kathryn Nolan sex is nothing short of phenomenal. I'm not typically a slow burn lover but this book... seriously this book. The slow burn was just enough to keep me wanting more. More Henry and Delilah. More Abe. More Freya!! Please more Freya! I find myself counting down the days until Kathryn releases her next book.... always. She has never disappointed me and definitely didn't again.

Ms Nolan delights with another romance couple with off the charts chemistry! If you love an intelligent, romantic, and sexually dominant hero, Henry Finch is your man. Delilah Barrett is a kickass heroine who can save herself AND Henry. Delilah has to train Henry on his first field assignment for Codex, the private investigation company she works for. Henry’s experience as a rare book librarian helps this former police detective in their search for a rare and valuable stolen book. Henry and Delilah learn to forgive their past mistakes, learn to trust again, and find that going undercover as a passionately in love married couple isn’t a hard sell.
