Thought this was a really wonderful portrait of the Lebanese Civil War, really doing the difficult task of pairing that violent historical record alongside pop-art esque graphics of the 70s and 80s. I think it really pulls this off, which makes for a really beautiful and textured examination of a highly politicized and complicated history of violence, from this graphic novel’s particular vantage point in Beirut.
