This book was just straight up adorable! Beautifully illustrated. With a cute doggie who gets lost in a library (be still my bibliophile heart). ❤️ I can't wait to gift this one to a friend who just had a baby.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

This just looked adorable. A pup. A library. What could possibly go wrong? Haha. And I can tell you already that it was such a fun book to read!

Meet Larry, a cute pup who wants to read a book.. but can’t so goes for a snack and thus gets stuck in a bookmobile. A fun adventure begins and I had so much fun seeing where the bookmobile would take Larry. We end up at the library and I had an even bigger laugh seeing Larry, all wet, try to get into the library! I loved seeing him explore the library (and had a laugh at the little boy who was looking through the stacks when he spotted Larry).

The ending made me smile so much. Pete and Larry make such a nice couple and I loved what Pete did at the end for Larry.

I just loved the bookmobile. I vaguely can remember seeing one once when I was a kid, I think for school or something. It looks like such a fun thing, a truck filled to the brim with fun books. That sounds like a fun job to me, driving it to places without libraries, making people happy, letting them pick a book or help them out with books. Oh boy!

The art was a pretty fun one, though I did think the dog looked a bit odd at times. But I definitely loved the parts that took place in the library. Seeing all those books, the patrons, and more.

All in all, I had quite a big laugh reading this one. Oh Larry! Next time if you want a snack, find one closer to your home! I would recommend this fun book to all.

This is a charming little picture book about a dog who stows away in the bookmobile and ends up the library. With rhyming text, the reader is introduced to some of the basics of what one might see in a library. Not my favorite book about the library, but a worthy addition to any collection.

ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for review via NetGalley.

My daughter loved this book. It had all her favorites books, animals, rhyming. We will have to add this one to our shelves. Thank you NetGalley for the advance reader.

This was my first Larry Gets Lost book and it was a really fun book. The rhyming text will keep small children engaged and the illustrations are colourful and funny. I love that the illustrator used the correct Dewey decimal numbers in the library stacks.

Can't wait to read another Larry Gets Lost book.

Larry Gets Lost at the library is a sweet children's picture book about a dog named Larry who, well, gets lost at the library! The illustrations in this book are absolutely beautiful. I loved the stylization and the color palette. But while the story is light-hearted and in a cute rhyming poetry style, I found the book lacking since there is no plot or moral lesson to be learned from the story. Larry accidentally gets on the library truck, goes to the library, and then comes home and there are no consequences, no worry that he might not make it home, or any lesson/metaphor alluded to.
