Maybe I was overly anticipating this one...it just didn't work for me. I love a traumatized broody damaged hero and I thought Sin was going to be one of my favorites of all time, but I really wasn't feeling it. I just felt sad for him and he was softer than I expected. I've been really craving a lit of angst lately so I will try this one again at a later time when my tastes in tropes change a bit.

The first 70% of the book was utterly predictable and brought nothing new to Highlander romances, but I did feel like the book had a strong ending.

It was a redemption story. There was no physical disability in the characters. The story mainly revolved around the hero and his inability to accept care and love from another and how the heroine helps him in overcoming that. The humor was well interlinked with the angst story and it worked well.

AHHH I don't know what to do with myself, hurt/comfort is such a delicious genre that I am addicted to. Especially in these arranged-marriage type stories Like guys plsss the hero is so tortured!!!

Sin's woe-is-me got to be a bit much at times, but a solid story.

Sin and Callie's story, a followup to Claiming the Highlnder. A real pleasure to be able to follow Sin's story, with a kick-butt heroine!

I've wanted to read this book for sooooo long, and I've finally done it.
Epic ! Just touching and mind blowingly realistic when it comes to sin's thought and emotions.
I love Callie , I more than love Sin and I'm awed by this book.
I truly recommend it and hope everyone will enjoy it as much as I did.

REREAD it today and I still love it so much !!

2.5 stars.

In the same line as the previous book in this series, the plot got boring and repetitive after a while. I thought that the development of the hero’s character would be interesting, but it felt flat and with plenty of repetitions. And the heroine didn’t change at all; she had zero development.

Overall, a meh story. I think I’ve had enough of this series and this author.

I liked this book, but I was kind of upset with the epilogue. I don’t see any reason why Sin’s stepmother should’ve been granted forgiveness and a welcome into sin’s home. She was forgiven WAY too easily for someone who shouldn’t have been forgiven at all. I wish she had gotten a way worse fate than what she was given by being forgiven.

Bu kitapla biraz mutsuzum.
Tam olarak istediğim şey değildi.
Kinky cluba gidip foreplayle dönmüş gibiyim.

Sin, benim tarçınlı çöreğim.
Hayat hikayesi kalbimi parçaladı. P A R A M P A R Ç A L A N D I M. Çocuk yaşta babası tarafından reddedilmek mi dersiniz, üvey anne zulmü mü, yoksa tüm yeteneklerine borçlu (!) olduğu serazenlere satılıp orada yaşadığı hayatta kalma mücadeleleri mi?

"Leaning down, he rubbed noses with her, then dipped his lips to kiss her."

xoxoxo
