Thanks to NetGalley who gave me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not quite sure what I expected when I started this book, but it definitely wasn't this perfect little gem of a story. I only know Jenny Eclair as the quick witted, hilarious comedienne, so this wonderful story came as a complete surprise to me. Heartbreaking, bittersweet, yet laugh out loud funny at times, this book has moments that completely take your breath away. I loved it from beginning to end and savoured every beautifully written word. An amazing 5 stars.

I didn't like most of the characters in this and they felt one dimensional. The plot was also predictable.

Well, I wasn't expecting that.

I absolutely loved this book right from the start. The story which unravelled, through the three different narrators was touching, riveting and rather sad overall but not in a morose self-pitying way. I didn't want it to end.

It is one of the best I've read this year, hence the 5***** rating.

This book I bought because I really thought I would like the story. It started off as a good story with daydreaming thoughts of a female with maybe early dementia. Then the second part of this book came and it really changed how it was written. I didn't like it and then I decided after a few days of not reading it, to just stop. Too many good books out there, worth my time. Would have been written in the same line as the first part, I would not have given this up.

I really loved this book, it is not great literature, but I read it at the right time, it was interesting, I liked the characters and how their stories are woven I to a complete story. Very pleasing read.

I absolutely loved this book. Couldn't put it down. Sad in many places, especially when the elderly Edwina is showing her house to the young estate agent, but peppered with lots of humour too. Great narrative, well developed characters and an engaging style. Excellent.
