There’s always a bit of risk in picking up one of Christie’s standalones because sometimes the lack of Poirot or Miss Marple can throw it all out of whack.

However, I really enjoyed this one and Emily ended up being such a great stand-in detective! This one has all those wintery vibes and some seances, which were a fun surprise.

This was the perfect winter time murder mystery! Great for the season, and you can’t go wrong with Agatha Christie. I had no idea who did it, and it was cleverly put together. I love that the answer is always right in front of your face but never quite within reach. And that is why I’ll always keep reading her books!
