Characters were boring, I hate how even their problems got solved so perfectly. I want unperfection.

This was overall way too clean book for me, I love cute books and happy stories but then I want them to be fun. This wasn't even that.

Mediocre popcorn
lots of "I read an encyclopedia article about x, so here's a exposition PSA on the topic using a character as a mouthpiece" moments

keeps adding more elements of tension that aren't necessary, even when previous ones haven't been resolved yet
childhood crush doesn't want a serious relationship or to get married ever, chronic disease and constant doctor appointments, unplanned pregnancy - these aren't fully resolved and still more get piled on- apartment burns down/homeless, boss becomes an unpredictable stalker, love interest gets into disfiguring accident that is only resolvable with shapeshifting nonsense that gets complications of its own, unemployment, supernatural employment....
