The greatest book series of all time, including the complete works of William Shakespeare, Leo Tolstoy, or Garth Marenghi.

Honestly, this one was just a personal thing. I didn't really love the characters and the style of the writing. The storyline was great, I just found it hard to read.

This is one of my sisters' favorite childhood books and I figured it was time I read it. It did not disappoint. There's adventure, hardship, puzzles, lessons, and twists that I actually didn't see coming. I understand now why they love it so much.

Honestly, it holds up. Obviously a kids book, but the story is solid (if simple), and it hits all the nostalgia points without being too poorly written to be enjoyable to read.

One of the best fantasy series out there for young teens. I read them in middle school and loved them all.
