I liked the characters (though they didn't really feel real, you know?), but loathed the romance. Over-the-top insta-love and Cal's extreme possessiveness didn't work for me with Oscar's backstory. They just don't seem right for each other. The world was sort of interesting, and I'm a little curious about the brothers' stories...but probably not enough to continue.

Loved this! I was a bit skeptical of the insta-love going in, but  actually it proved an interesting way to explore how freeing it might be for an abuse survivor to have rock-solid but pressure-free commitment from a potential partner. The brother dynamic is fantastic, the world building is intriguing, and the plot is exciting while not overshadowing the relationships. Also Bailey is the best. Can't wait to read more!
