Miss Marple at her, subtle finest! Though the  book is not subtle. Nor a straight line of a tale. All over the place at first, so much so I thought I would have to give up. But when stuck in traffic, why not just persevere? Boy was I glad I stuck with it. After the chaos are many different stories, offshoots, and once it was braided together, it made a great, cozy mystery!

A little bland for Christie. It makes me a bit sad to see the world kind of passing by Miss Marple. And with the passage of time, we seem to get less and less Marple involved in her own novels. I understand that outside of St. Mary Meade it might make sense for her to focus on using her eyes and ears more instead of stomping around, but it doesn't seem like this is a "Miss Marple" story when she's hardly in it. Besides that, I simply didn't find this mystery all that intriguing. And compared to the previous books, this one was so dry (ie. didn't have half as many deaths.) It's still got some Christie charm, but I'm a little concerned moving forward...
