I loved this so much! I went into this book completely blind and wow i loved every second of it. I loved how there was a lot of plot to it not just romance, which i really enjoyed. It was great and i’m excited to start the second book in the series!

   -revenge plot

   -spice: yes, open door

I’ve read a few books from LJ Shen and I didn’t love this one quite as much as some of the others. There were some time hops switching back and forth between then and now, and I am not a big fan of that in general. I also didn’t feel like I connected with the characters as much as I would have liked. Aside from those things though, I liked it. I enjoyed the story and finished it in no time at all.

3,25/5⭐️ iba sin expectativas y como siempre sin saberme la sinopsis.

Asique partiendo de esa base diré que por lo menos no es la misma trama repetitiva de siempre. I’ll give it that.

this had some of my favorite tropes: childhood friends to lovers, the one, mutual pinning…

I loved how to the plot played it self out! it kept me on my toes and it wasn’t too obvious!

loved loved loved how deeply they felt for each other and how much the both went through to find their way back to each other.
also loved the groveling!

overall it was a very fulfilling story, and it made me happy at the end.

this was my fist book by the author and i really liked it.

This was a great read. It was just a wholesome story that gave me all the feels.

This is not a spicy read. I would consider it closer to a contemporary romance with one or two spicy scenes.

But I love the childhood friends reconnection. I love parental involvement that makes them lose their relationship. Most importantly, I love character growth. This has it all, plus more.

Quick read, entertaining, and straight to the point. I loved the premise of childhood sweethearts separated by class and an evil parent and meeting again as adults. This was cute but not entirely saccharine. Read it if you need a little romance fix to get out of a funk.

I would give the book a 3.5-star rating, you know, it was alright, but I was expecting a bit more oomph. The confessions part? Meh, didn't really do much for me. Also, I hated that he had sex with her without revealing his true identity. Not cool, dude. Overall, I was kinda hoping for a juicier read, but hey, you win some, you lose some.

Enemies to lovers done right!
I liked the past chapters and the slow-burn romance.

Though there were some issues, I think this author is worth checking out.
