I did not see that end coming! A great fantasy book! I really enjoyed the characters and the mystery! I liked where it was heading.

I sometimes got a little lost on all the characters and like who they were, that kind of thing. I also sometimes got lost with all the planets and stuff! But other than that I really did like it and I can't wait to read the next book!

Actual rating 3.5 ⭐. This alternated between characters, was told in parts, and further review to come.

I was originally going to rate this just plain 3/5, BUT the last page saved it. It 100% has me hyped for the next book. Anyway, the only chapters I really enjoyed were ones in Aly's point of view. His friendship with Vin was GOOD. Kara was also a character I loved.
[3.5/5]

3.5 This book was fast paced and had some important topics represented but I didn’t connect at all with the characters. I found it a little confusing and rushed. The story jumped around abruptly sometimes to move the story along and I felt that more needed to be explained.

Twists and turns you don't expect filled with questions and mystery with sci-fi and romance= this amazing book!
There were some questions I guessed and the surprise wasn't as big and amazing. Nonetheless, this book totally blew me away. The character depth and development was really good and had my heart beating every page.

I really liked the characters, but I felt like the multiple POVs were hard to follow. The ending was good and surprising, but I just couldn't get past all the politics and the world building. It also pains me to say that I didn't really connect with the characters.

I’ve never hated a main character more than I hated Rhee.
