I love that in Jenny Colgan's world, sweet small towns and good food have healing qualities.
This might be my favorite of the Little Beach Street Bakery series. I found the characters of Marisa and Alexei to be gentle and interesting and likeable. I have never had agoraphobia/anxiety disorder and I suspect that's the case with Colgan as well, but from my uneducated perspective she handled it decently.
Each book in the series has had a different narrator. Catrin Walker-Booth did a very good job for this one. None of them has handled Huckle's accent particularly well, but Walker-Booth didn't make him sound like a caricature (like some of the others did).

This book was okay. I found the parts about grief interesting and when Marisa's grandmother is dying I was very moved. I wasn't too fussed about the rest of it.

It took me a while to get into this but then I very much enjoyed it. Liked having some new characters while still seeing snippets of the old ones.
