The writing is so beautiful. Reading each short story, I felt like I could picture exactly what was happening. It made me feel so many emotions so quickly in so few words.

Read this the way I imagine it was intended to be consumed: listening to Indian Idol and the Kapil Sharma show in the background in my grandparent’s living room in Bombay.
Hard to review a book of short stories. Some were bad but most were good and one was absolutely great (the eponymous story). The others I enjoyed were Sexy and This Blessed House. And to a lesser extent, A temporary matter.

Guessing at the dates (& it certainly didn't take that long to ready) but I know it was that general time frame because this was assigned reading for one of my classes freshman year of college. Fantastic book! Very engaging mix of short stories.
