I'm no aficionado of African American storytelling traditions, so I'm not sure how authentic these written versions are, but I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. It makes me wish we could get a storyteller to come to our class and share these in their original verbal form. They're funny, entertaining, and have a great deal of wisdom.
