Cute! The art style was interesting. The story was a bit abstract for me.
I hated how Bloom and Gloopy got separated at the end!! They're just never gonna see each other again!! But I'm glad they both are happy. RIP Bee.

A beautiful trippy book that’s about feelings and connection. An emotional ride through dimensions

Stunning pages and innovative layouts! But I wanted more from the story. Really appreciate the younger reader appeal, and within this how Mendoza does not water down the wildness of the different worlds, or introduce any iota of patronizing tone. I’d imagine a much younger me being completely enthralled. But old me just wanted more! I could imagine this being significantly longer and feel that much more enveloping and disorienting, and I’d have welcomed the grandness.

The most gorgeous trippy graphic novel I've ever read. So incredibly beautiful (and genderless!!!)

The art is STUNNING. Part of me wonders what the experience would have been like if there was no dialogue whatsoever. At times, it felt like the dialogue took away from the storyline, rather than propelling it forward. Highly recommend checking it out for the visuals!
